Description

The Patty Melt is a classic American sandwich that has been around for decades. The caramelized onions and grilled sour dough bread is what really sets this sandwich apart. In our recipe we're also using bacon to give it that extra over-the-top kick, and along with some pepper jack cheese, this thing is just incredible. quick, easy, and delicious!

Ingredients
  • 8 Slices of Bacon
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Large Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 8 Slices Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Garlic Butter
Instructions
  1. Cook the bacon and sauté the onions.

  2. Form the beef patties and place on hot griddle. Flip once they are cooked half way through.

  3. Spread the garlic butter on one side of each of the 8 slices of bread.

  4. Place 4 of the 8 slices of bread onto the griddle.

  5. Place 2 slices if cheese on each slice of bread.

  6. Place the onions on top of the cheese.

  7. Place the bacon and patties on top of the onions.

  8. Top off the sandwiches with the remaining 4 pieces of bread, and flip. Let the bread toast for a few minutes then remove them from the griddle.

  9. Slice in half and enjoy!
