Description

Pork shots are a delicious treat to bring to any gathering. With a piece of sausage wrapped in bacon, you end up with what looks like a pork shot glass. Stuff that with cream cheese and jalapenos, then cooked in the smoker and you'll have one of the best BBQ appetizers to ever land in you mouth!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Bacon (Thick sliced)
  • 1 pound Pork Sausage
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ Rub
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Pickled Jalapeno's (Diced)
Instructions
  1. Preheat your smoker to 275F.
  2. Slice Sausage

    Slice the sausage into 1/2 inch pieces.

  3. Wrap with bacon

    Cut the package of thick-cut bacon in half. Wrap the 1/2 slices of bacon around the sausage rounds and secure with a toothpick.

  4. Make filling

    Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, jalapenos, and BBQ rub in a suitably sized bowl. Transfer the mixture to a freezer bag, seal, and cut off one of the corners of the bag.

    Squeeze the mixture from the bag into each one of the bacon wrapped sausages.

  5. Cook in smoker

    Place the pork shots in the smoker and cook for approximately 90 minutes or until desired crispiness is achieved with the bacn.
