Instructions
-
Divide the 1 lb. of breakfast sausage into 4 equal sections, and roll each into a ball. Place each ball onto a oiled flattop or pan and let it sear for a few seconds.
-
Drizzle a small amount of oil onto each ball, cover with parchment paper, and smash down with the spatula or bacon press. Hold for a few seconds to get a good sear.
-
Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to the pancake batter, and stir well. Pour the pancake batter into 4 oiled egg rings. Remove the rings once the batter has set, and flip the pancakes.
-
Crack eggs, one each, into the 2 oiled egg rings. Lightly break the yolk. Remove the rings once the eggs have set, and flip. Whisk the 2 remaining eggs into a small bowl and pour onto the flattop. Once the they begin to set, divide them in half with the spatula, flip, and fold when they are done cooking.
-
Coat melted butter to the inside of the English Muffins and place on the flattop. You can also do this in the toaster, and butter afterwards.
-
Place 1 slice of American cheese on each of the English Muffin's as well as one on each of the 2 pancakes.
-
Place the eggs from the egg rings on the English Muffin (McMuffin) sandwiches, and the folded egg on each of the pancake (McGriddle) sandwiches.
-
Place each of the 4 sausage patties onto each of the 4 sandwiches and top off with the respective muffin and pancake.
-
Enjoy and wonder why yo would ever go back to McDonald's again!
-
Whisk the 2 remaining eggs into a small bowl and pour directly onto the flattop. When the eggs start to set, divide them in half using your spatula then flip and fold once they are done cooking.
