Black Atomic Buffalo Turds or jalapeno poppers, are a great BBQ appetizer! Sliced in half, stuffed with my cream cheese recipe, wrapped in bacon, and smoked on the RecTeq.
Slice the jalapenos in half, and remove the ribs and seeds.
Combine all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix thouroughly.
Using a spoon, stuff each halved jalapeno with the cream cheese mixture.
Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a half of slice of bacon. The black jalapenos are small so a half slice works perfectly. Use a whole slice if you're using regular jalapenos.
Place the ABT's in a 250F preheated smoker. Cook until the bacon is at your desired crispiness, about 2 hours. If you're following this recipe and using the Chorizo, also check that the internal temperature is above 160F.
Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
